Hello friends! We made it to Friday. Here’s a few things that are happening around here lately.
Smoothie game is strong around here. It helps that its been 60° and up lately…anyone else have a hard time drinking smoothies through the winter? It’s just too cold!
Mr. Teeps got his Voice and Sight tag, so he can officially run off leash with me on the Open Space Mountain Park trails in Boulder, which is perfect timing because we’re working on a little training thing with Full Moon Pet (more to come on that). I say officially, because honestly, I let him run off leash before we got into the program. (I know, bad Aimee.) But once we moved to Boulder and I knew I was going to be frequenting those trails with him, I wanted to do the right thing and get his tags. Now Mr. Teeps is all blinged out with his shiny new purple tag.
It’s healthy to sometimes just live off leash…that goes for humans too. Be wild and free just for a little while.We took those new treats for a test run yesterday, literally. So far, they are Loki approved.Speaking of Loki approved…so is this Wild Friends peanut butter jar.
I made some gluten free, no refined sugar added peanut butter cookies the other day. And before you say “wow, I bet those taste great” in a sarcastic tone, they are actually pretty darn tasty. No false promises, its hard to beat a butter and sugar packed tradition PB cookie, but these guys are tasty without giving you a major sugar crash.
Enjoy these guilt free cookies for dessert tonight, or heck, even breakfast!
Gluten Free Peanut Butter Cookies with No Added Sugar
- 1 mashed banana
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup coconut flour
- 5 tbsp creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
How to make them:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Whisk your mashed banana, egg, vanilla and peanut butter together until you have a nice smooth consistency.
- Stir in both flours until completed mixed.
- Fold in chocolate chips
- On a baking sheet with either parchment paper or a silicone baking mat, roll dough into 1 inch balls and flatten very slightly.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Enjoy.
